Organization | Tasks and To Do List

Hey Hey!
I've slowly been trying out different systems that will help me keep my task/to do list/projects organized and efficient. I've finally narrowed it down to this one, using file folders and I absolutely love it. When it comes to organizing it does take a few trial runs to really see what works for you. Especially since everyone is different and we all have our way of doing things. Ive found that using file folders to keep track of projects that need to be done works best for me. I'm a very visual person, I have to be able to see at all times the things I have to do. Or lets be honest they wont get done. So I hope that my system also works for you or even if you have to tweek it a little that's perfectly fine. Do what works best for you. As long as the job is getting done RIGHT?

My Sticky Note System
I have a different color sticky note for the different tasks i may have. I love colors and color dosing pretty much everything I can. It makes my life 10 times easier, believe it or not.

Green (Call)- If I need to call a store and ask them about a charge or just a general question. I will use this sticky note. An example would be, I recently had to call my insurance and ask them a question. I place this sticky note on the outside of the file folder and inside I had the information I needed to talk to my insurance company.( Policy number etc)

Pink(Bill Pay)- I get my bulls sent to me but I pay them online. I like to keep a visual reference that I need to pay a certain bill on a certain day.It also doesn't have to be bills but lets say your car needs to be serviced and now you have a payment due. I use it for that reason as well.

Orange(Cancel)- If I ever have to cancel a service I will use orange and I write on the sticky note the service that needs to be cancelled and the date before I need to cancel it.

Blue (To Do)- This is probably my most used sticky note. I use this if i have a projectt to complete or a task that needs to be done. Like apply for my passport. It really keeps me on rack and I also add dates that I need to complete it by so that I always keep a deadline for myself

Just make sure that all the papers that you need are in that folder. I know if I have to call a store i just throw the bill or number into the file folder that way i can grab the folder, my computer or the phone and simply complete the task.

I don't use this for every task. But I do use this for task that take time. If its something that can be done right then and there. I just do it and save time. But there are those times where its easier to throw the papers in the folders and say ill call them on Monday.

*I also make sure I only keep three projects or tasks in my file organizer. I never want to be overwhelmed so three works for me

I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful. Lets me know in the comments below if you have another way you organize.

Simple Strawberry Slush Drink

I'm so excited to share with you this easy recipe. I know summer is approaching and there are so many drinks I cant wait to make. This strawberry slush is so simple and only requires 3 ingredients. The one thing I love about this recipe is you don't need ice, if you use frozen fruit. You can also make this with any fruit of your choice. I think a frozen peach slush drink would be delicious. The difference between this and a normal slush is. A slush is usually filled with ice but this is more like a blended drink mixed with a slush texture. I hope you enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:
Frozen Strawberries
Water
Sugar

Blend Blend Blend Until Smooth. If you want your slush thicker use less water.

You can add whatever sweetener you like. I decided to add sugar, but you can always do
-Honey
-Agave Nectar
-Sugar
-Maple Syrup

Pour in your preferred glass and Enjoy!!!

Spring/Summer Snack Table Scape Idea

Hey There Friends!
I arranged this super spring/summer theme snack table setting a few weeks ago and I've been dying to share it with you all. I don't know about you but I love snacks and especially cookies. So I thought why not combine a super cute table setting on a budget with some simple snacks for a small party or snack table.

The flowers and the vase are both from Joann's fabrics store. I love the amount of beautiful flowers they have. There are plenty to choose from. I always want all of them and have to constantly stop myself. I also found these long rectangle serving dishes from Ross. The center piece flower print at the bottom is a piece of scrapbook paper from michael's craft store.

I went to target and picked up this cute spring pillow and picture frame from the dollar spot. They also had this really cute open circular basket. I love a good deal that's why I always stop in the dollar section of target, they have the most amazing things.

For my snacks I decided to go with these soft sugar cookies from loft house. Honestly my favorite cookies to buy, there always so sweet and delicious but there mini so I don't feel bad about eating 3 or maybe 4. I also made a really easy salmon salad. Usually I Jazz My salmon salad up with celery and green olives and seasonings, but this time I was very simple.

Salmon Salad Recipe

I Can or Package or cooked boneless and skinless salmon
Mayonnaise
Mustard (regular or spicy)
Black Olives (sliced)

and you can also add
Green olives
Celery
Garlic Power
Onion Powder
Black Pepper

Along with that I added some of my favorite crackers and cheese. I'm not a cheese enthusiast (if that is a thing) but Munster cheese is one of my favorite cheeses, especially for grilled cheese sandwiches. But this time I decided to go with Smoked Gouda, which is also really delicious.

To Top it all off my mom made this delicious tazo tea. I'm telling you guys this tea will have you craving more and more and she uses all natural honey to sweeten it. Soooo delicious! Just serve it with ice.

I hope you enjoyed!!!

Until Next Time

Mother's Day Gifts In a Box

Hey There!
Since Mother's Day is literally less than a week away, I thought I would share with you a few Mother's Day gift ideas. I love giving gifts, especially personalized gifts to the ones I love. It brings me so much joy seeing gifts that come from the heart, that I know you fully thought about. Not saying teddy bears, chocolates and a card aren't great gifts, because they are. But every once in a while I like to spruce things up and get my creative juices flowing. Today I created a little box trio set. In stores they have so many gift sets you can buy, but you can also make and customize your own.

Box 1

I started with mommy essentials. Some of the things I constantly see moms or women have in their purses. I thought this would be a great gift idea for any mom or grandma since they are usually the ones with a full packed purse of everything you may need. This box is can completely be customized and personal. I know for my mom she has been asking me about the tide to go stick, so I definitely had to include that since I know that's something she would love or any mom would love.

What's In Box 1 ?
Pens
Hand Sanitizer
Mini Mirror
Tide To Go Stick
EOS Lip Balm
Peppermints

Box 2

I decided to go with something sweet and simple. Whatever sweets your mom or grandma would like just toss it in this box. I decided to go with Hershey's kisses. You can even add a cute note in the box.

What to Put In Box 2?
Hershey's Kisses
Kit Kats
Gummy Candies
Tootsie Rolls
ETC.

Box 3

My favorite Box of them all. You could write out personal notes to your mom. They could be words of affirmation or sayings that you live by because of her. You could even fill it with simple notes for a daily reminders. This is probably my favorite box because it is so personal and it takes time. I really believe words play a big part in our lives and we wouldn't be anywhere without communication.

I hope everyone has a fantastic Mother's Day and I will be putting out a few more gift ideas throughout the week so be on the look out.

XOXO

Reusing Beauty Bags | Wall Decor

Hey There Friends!
I know many of us probably have a lot of stored bags in our closet. I love to keep mine and reuse them around the house or to carry things. I decided to do a little DIY Today on the blog and show you how I made these super easy  beauty bags for wall decor. If you love Sephora and all things beauty like I do, then you know how fast you can rack up some of these bags. I still have a whole box filled (shhhhh) Dont judge me. They make really good bags for carrying small things and also lets admit it there so cute.

Bags
The first thing I needed was of course my small bags. The smaller the better in my opinion, they stay on the wall better and it's also better to use the sturdy Sephora bags they give you not the plastic thin ones.I used both in the picture just to show you the difference. Pink also has great bags. I have so many of them just from collecting overtime. Of course I had to choose the best looking ones though. I use these bags for tons of things. Holding my lunch, carrying things from the car (light products) I also use them for holding my change believe it or not and they work really well. I've never had a bag break on me (fingers crossed)

Hang
You can use thumb tacks to hang up the bags but the down side to that is they don't  hold the bag flush against the wall. I used these easy picture frame command hooks and put 2 on the back of the bag to make sure they stay.

Decorate
Then I added my favorite flowers. I picked up both sets of flowers at Joann's Fabrics but they also have so many flowers at Michael's Craft Store as well as the dollar store. but if you go to a craft store they definitely will have more of a selection for flowers and they last longer In my opinion.

You may need to cut the stems of your flowers to fit nicely in the bag. When your done you'll have this amazing wall decor that's perfect for the office or just your room. I even think it would be cute in a teenagers room.

Hope you enjoyed!

Until next time xoxo

Pineapple Watermelon Sparkling Lemonade

Hey There! I have to admit, this is probably my favorite drink I've tried so far. I love festive drinks especially around the spring/summer time. They're perfect for family BBQ's, Lunches or Brunch (which is my favorite meal) I love everything about brunch!! It's heating up so quick here is Arizona and drinks are always a stable for us, and lets face it who doesn't love watermelon and pineapple!!! I actually saw this drink as an alcoholic beverage but since I'm not a drinker I thought why not find another way to make this a summer time drink for everyone.

I purchased everything from Trader Joe's, aside from the ice and cups of course. They have a really good produce section and I'm always pleased with their fruit and their prices. I started out with watermelon spears and pineapple spears. You can always buy a full watermelon or pineapple and cut it yourself, I just went the more simple route. I also picked up some limes for garnishing and it give the drink a nice flavor.

I Sliced and prepped all my fruit before I even started pouring the drinks. After I sliced the fruit I set it aside. You could also put it in the the freezer and let the fruit get a little hard before adding it to your drinks. Its like having mini fruit ice cubes.

I used two of my favorite drinks from Trader Joe's The Sparkling Lemonade and The Pineapple Juice. This lemonade is very light and refreshing but still is so delicious when it is chilled and poured over ice. I've brought this lemonade to a few work parties and everyone absolutely loved it. I also am obsessed with their pineapple juice. It takes exactly like freshly squeezed pineapple juice, NO LIE! I'm not a fan of canned anything so knowing it comes in a bottle makes me that much more excited to buy it and drink it, like everyday literally!

Next I poured in my ice (you only need a few pieces) I recommend letting the juice sit for 5 minutes or less with the the fruit before adding the ice. That way all the flavors can blend together. Then I added 1 cup of the sparkling lemonade and 1/2 cup of the pineapple juice. Just make sure you give it a little stir because the pineapple juice is heavier than the lemonade so it will settle to the bottom. Then I add in my fruit and give it one last stir before adding my lime garnish .

I put a few slices of the lime in the drink and also on the edge of the glass. The lime gives it a slight tart flavor that works well with the sweetness of the pineapple. The your ready to drink!! I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope you try this drink. Let me know what you think In the comments below.
